After approx. a 10 hrs drive from Dhaka
city we reached Shyamnagar, a Upazila of Bangladesh where the Sundarbans
is situated. The next day we hired a boat from Neeldumur ghat to view
the Sundarban forest. During the boat ride, we spotted a group of wild
moneys and a number of wild bird species. The boat ride took us to the
Kalagachia forest office. The forest office has constructed a wooden
bridge that can take u right into the forest. Inside the forest we got a
closer view of the mangrove trees and have been lucky enough to see
some tiger pugmarks!
