Grameenphone in collaboration with its partner IT Connect Ltd has launched WiFi service in selected areas of Dhaka city. This great initiative enables any Grameenphone customers staying inside the designated WiFi Blue Zone area to use high-speed WiFi internet service from their WiFi enable Smart devices. Currently three easy packs are being offered to customers which can be availed by sending a simple SMS in 9001 short code. After successful activation request via SMS, customers will receive log in credentials in a return SMS. This is to be noted that this WiFi service will be used in GP designated areas showing WiFi Blue Zone SSID in WiFi options only.
In the beginning WiFi Blue Zone SSID will be available in selected areas of Banani Kemal Ataturk Area and Banani Road # 11. The detailed coverage maps are given below:
